Pertamina to build single point mooring in Penajam Paser Utara

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to build a single point mooring with a capacity of 1.8 million barels in Penajam Paser Utara regency, East Kalimantan.

This was said by regency administration offcial Rahman Nurhadi as reported by Antarakaltim.com on Friday.

He said this is considered as national strategic project.

Meanwhile, Manager of Pertamina Refinery Unit V in Balikpapan Eman Salman Arief said that the single point mooring forms part of additional supporting facilities to be developed as the company plans to upgrade the Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan.

He said Pertamina will also develop additional pipelines from Lawe Lawe Terminal to Balikpapan and to add three new crude storage facilities at the terminal, which currently has seven storage units.(*)
