Pertamina to buy new tanker vessels

State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina has invited the Indonesian shipyards to participate in its tender process for the purchase of three tanker vessels of 17,500 DWT general purpose type.
The company said in a tender announcement recently that the ship purchase will be conducted under a scheme of direct purchase through the tender, which is scheduled to proceed from early February to early April this year.
Previously, Pertamina also announced plans to buy 10 Aframax vessels each with a capacity of 85,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT), which is aimed to support the transportation of its oil and gas.
