Pertamina?s upstream director Iin Arifin Takhyan told Petromindo.com in an interview Monday that the company hoped to certify some 400 billion standard cubic feet (bcf) of gas this year.
Pertamina East Java upstream operations, which operates the block, discovered gas in Suci exploration well early this year.
Iin said Pertamina would drill one more well this year for certification and would later conduct seismic study to decide location for further exploration wells.
? We plan are hoping to add some 800 bcf more of gas reserve in Suci structure from our future exploratory drillings,? he said.
Iin said Pertamina had held talks with State fertilizer company PT Semen Gresik to supply gas to the latter starting from 30 million standard cubic feet per day.
Iin, however, did not mention when the gas would become onstream. (alex/godang)
