State oil and gas firm Pertamina has planned to close down in early 2005 the floating fuel storage anchored offshore Teluk Semangka in Lampung province because the facility is now too old, the company?s downstream director Muchsin Bahar said Friday.
Pertamina planned to remove its Teluk Semangka operation to Balongan storage in West Java, Muchsin told reporters.
Recently, the Teluk Semangka fuel storage had suffered overstock due to overestimate of domestic fuel consumption, causing many vessels unloading deferral. (godang)
