Pertamina to cut fuel import in Q1 2008

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina would reduce fuel imports in the first quarter of next year as a domestic refineries boost production, a company official said.

Pertamina plans to import an average of 2.8 million barrels and 4.5 million barrels of premium gasoline and diesel oil in the first quarter of next year, respectively, less than average 3 million barrel and 5.6 million barrels in the same quarter this year, Deputy Marketing Director Hanung Budya said on Thursday.

He also said that Pertamina might export kerosene next year, without give further details. (godang)
