Pertamina to expand gas station, lube operations

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said it would open three gas stations in Australia and Malaysia this year.
VP Fuel Retail Denny Wisnuwardani said the company would acquire two existing gas stations Sydney and would spend US$5.5 million to finance the acquisition. The Sydney operations would start by year-end.
Separately, Deputy Marketing Director Hanung Budya said Pertamina would also open one gas station in Malaysia this year.
The expansion to Australia is part of Pertamina?s downstream sector ambition to operate globally after it claimed to have successfully entered lubricant market in Australia last year.
Marketing Director Ahmad Faisal said Pertamina will also start to export lubricants to Myanmar and Omar this year. He did not give detail. (godang)
