State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to export 1.2 million barrel of kerosene following a drop in the domestic consumption as result of the kerosene-to-LPG conversion program.
?We have recommended they focus on Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea,? said Evita Legowo, the ministry?s Director General of Oil and Gas.
The directorate general for oil and gas issued a recommendation on July 10 that the Trade Ministry issue a permit for Pertamina to export its kerosene for the next three month.
She said Pertamina had the option of extending its kerosene exports beyond the initial three-month period. ?If Pertamina still has excess kerosene supplies, then they should go ahead and export them,? she added. (*)
