State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to export another 200,000 barrels of kerosene this month as the national consumption of the fuel to continues to decrease.
The firm has exported a total of 1.2 million barrels of kerosene until May this year, company's corporate secretary Basuki Trikora said on Tuesday.
The firm's refineries have been experiencing overproduction of kerosene as many households in the country have been using LPG rather than kerosene for cooking as a result of the government's kerosene-to-LPG conversion program. (Bernard)
