Pertamina to increase fuel import next month

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina said on Wednesday it would import 5 million barrels of premium gasoline next month, up from monthly regular import of 3 million barrels.

Pertamina marketing director Ahmad Faisal said that the increasing of the premium gasoline because the 125,000 BPD Balongan refinery in West Java is still under regular overhaul.

Diesel fuel import will reach between 5 and 7 million barrels and the import of blending component would double to 800,000 barrels, he said. (Bernard)
