Pertamina to increase output in East Kalimantan

State oil and gas company Pertamina has been operating several new equipment to increase the oil output of its three fields in the northern part of the province - Sangatta, Bunyu, NCF Tanjung - to 5,000 barrels per day (bdp) this year from 4,500 bpd at present.

General manager of Pertamina's Sangatta unit Chairul Huseiny told visiting Minister of Mines and Energy Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Balikpapan that Sangatta field still had an oil reserve of 10 million barrels, the Bunyu field 18.6 million barrels, the NCF Tanjung field 13.6 million barrels. (*)
