Pertamina to make direct import of crude, LPG from ADNOC

Indonesia?s state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to import crude oil and LPG from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) directly without the role of a third party.
?Today we discussed a number of investment potentials by UAE in Indonesia including oil and gas, and also the direct purchase of LPG and crude oil from ADNOC by Pertamina, not via third party,? said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan in a statement issued on Wednesday following a meeting with visiting United Arab Emirates Energy Minister Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazrouei.
No further details were provided. Indonesia?s LPG demand is projected to continue to rise. The LPG demand this year is estimated at 7 million metric tons, a 700 percent jump from 1 million tons in 2007.
