State oil and gas firm Pertamina has planned to overhaul Musi refinery in South Sumatra this year, but it has yet to decide the exact time for doing the work, the company?s downstream director Muchsin Bahar told Petromindo.Com Friday.
?The refinery could get out of order all of a sudden if we delay overhauling it,? Muchsin said.
He said they were still studying the exact time for the Musi plant to undergo turnaround.
Musi is one of the nine refineries operated by Pertamina, having capacity to distill 135,200 barrels per day (BPD) of crude.
Last week, the company started overhauling Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan. It has capacity to process 260,000 BPD of crude.
Pertamina has also planned to overhaul Balongan refinery in October of this year. It can process 125,000 BPD of crude. (godang)
