State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has decided to increase fuel prices for industrial uses by up to 6 percent beginning Oct. 1 as global oil prices soar over the last few months.

"We will raise the prices of fuel used by industries by about 5-6 percent," Pertamina's Deputy Director of Marketing Hanung Budya told reporters on Wednesday, without providing details.

Pertamina will also raise the prices for high-octane gasoline Pertamax and Pertamax Plus by 1 - 1.5 percent, he added. (Godang)
