Monday, August 15 2005 - 04:17 AM WIB

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina is planning to raise the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) following the rise in oil prices in the international market.

?The price will be increased up to 20 percent,? Pertamina?s director of commerce and marketing Arie Soemarno said on Monday, adding that the firm was still calculating the new price.

He refused to disclose the timeframe for the implementation of the new price.

LPG is mostly used by households for cooking in Indonesia. (Godang)
