Pertamina to re-start Blora prospect exploration drilling Q1 2003

State oil and gas company Pertamina will drill at least one exploration well in Blora onshore prospect, which is located in the border of Central and East Java, a company official said.

?Pertamina is in the process of tendering the rig, and hopefully we could commence drilling in the first quarter of next year. If the first drilling is a success, we may drill two more wells in the prospect in 2003,? said upstream director Iin Arifin Takhyan in an interview.

Iin said the new drilling location would be close to Randublatung-1 well, which was abandoned in March due to uncontrolled blowout. (alex)
