Pertamina to receive LPG from Bontang

East Kalimantan LNG producer PT Badak NGL, popularly known as Bontang LNG, is scheduled to ship the first cargo of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to state owned oil, gas firm PT Pertamina on July 26, 2009.

Pertamina?s Deputy Director of Marketing Hanung Budya said Friday that the first cargo ship would contain 42,000 metric tons (MT) of LPG. He refused to unveil the LPG prices, only saying Pertamina is buying the fuel at "good price".

Meanwhile, Bontang LNG President Director Agus Haryanto said that the ship would arrive at Bontang port in 25 July and will head to Tanjung Uban, Batam in Riau island province the following day.

Badak NGL restarted LPG production on June 15 after years-long suspension due to lack of gas feed. (Bernard)
