Pertamina to recondition LPG tanks in Arun

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) will recondition the LPG production facility at the Arun LNG plant in Aceh this year, as part of the company?s efforts to increase domestic LPG production to help reduce import and in anticipation of rising demand.
"The Arun LNG lequifaction plant has been permanently shut down, and it has now switched its function into a regasfication terminal. Of course, we will use its LPG tank," Pertamina's Marketing and Retail Director Achmad Bambang told Petromindo.com.
He said the LPG tanks will have a capacity of 200,000 MT. PT Patra Badak Arun Solution (PBAS), a subsidiary of Pertamina, has been appointed to carry out recondition of LPG tank in Arun, according to Achmad.
"God willing, this year the LPG plant could resume production," he said.
