State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina will resume talks with Malaysia's Tately NV over plans to jointly develop the latter's Palmerah oil block in Jambi Province, according to a senior official at Pertamina.
Pertamina director for upstream operation Bambang Nugroho said on Tuesday that the meeting with Tately was expected to take place on June 13.
"We'll discuss further the plan. We'll talk about things like split and participation interest," Bambang said.
He added that Tately seemed to agree that Pertamina would likely operate production side because of the latter's long experience and human resources capability.
Tately won the tender last year to operate the Palmerah block after beating several major oil producers including ConocoPhillips, which also operates the giant oil block Corridor oil bloc located near the Palmerah block. (Godang)
