State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina will sell automotive diesel fuel mixed with palm oil, or popularly known as bio-diesel fuel in all of its gas stations in Central Jakarta area by August this year, a company official said on Friday.

Pertamina spokesperson M. Harun said that Central Jakarta gas stations owned by the company will stop selling pure automotive diesel fuel.

Harun said that the bio-diesel would be sold at Rp.4, 300 (US$=Rp.9,300) per liter, similar to the subsidized diesel oil price sold at gas stations.

Harun said since the introduction of bio-diesel in 4 of its gas stations in Jakarta area, Pertamina had managed to sell 20 kiloters of the fuel per day. ?The response is quite good,? he said.
