State oil and gas company Pertamina will shut down its 348,000-bpd (barrel per day) Cilacap refinery in Central Java for a month in August for a regular maintenance.

Pertamina?s Marketing and Commerce Director Ahmad Faisal told reporters on Tuesday that Pertamina would import more oil-based fuel and related products to anticipate lower output from the refinery.

Ahmad did not specify if the refinery would be completely or partially shut down.

Cilacap refinery produces oil-based fuel such as Premium gasoline, kerosene, asphalt and oil products such as lube. Oil-based fuel accounts 60 percent of its output. (godang)
