Pertamina to sign LNG deal with Philippine?s PNOC this afternoon

The state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina will sign a letter of intent (LoI) with Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) to supply the latter with liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Tangguh project in Irian Jaya.

Director general of oil and gas Rachmat Sudibyo said on Monday that the LoI would be signed at the State Palace at two this afternoon to be witnessed by President Megawati Soekarnoputri and visiting Philippine President Gloria Arroyo.

Pertamina recently also signed an LoI with a Philippine power company called GNPower to supply LNG from the Tangguh project.(Alex)
