Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT. Pertamina, will sign cooperation deals on Wednesday with partners to operate maturing oil fields, a company official said.
Corporate Secretary Suharyanto said that the signing had been approved by Pertamina’s Board of Commissioners (BOC). The partners were picked through competitive bidding held earlier.
Pertamina EP CEO Kun Kurnaely said that the fields are expected to contribute 15,000-18,000 BPD to Pertamina’s crude production from 2009 on.
Kurnaely added that some 50 more Pertamina’s old fields may be offered for cooperation starting next month. "The offer is still waiting for approval from BoC," said Suharyanto.(godang)
