Pertamina to supply gas to West Java, Banten

The state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina South Sumatra regional office will supply some 250 million SCFD natural gas to West Java and Banten provinces starting 2005, the local Sumatra Express reported Monday.
The paper quoted general manager Kun Kurnely as saying that Pertamina would start from this year developing some 22 gas fields, drilling 60 new wells, and reviving some 40 old wells to achieve the marketing program.
Elsewhere, Kun said that Pertamina would invest up to US$1 billion over the next five years to boost gas production.(*)
