Pertamina to temporarily shut down Cilacap refinery

The state-owned oil and gas company will temporarily shut down one of its two refineries in Cilacap, Central Java, in May 2002 for routine maintenance, the Bisnis Indonesia daily said.

The paper said that the refinery, with a capacity of 230,000 bpd, will be closed for 30 days.

The other refinery in Cilacap has a capacity of 180,000 bpd.

Pertamina has nine refineries with total capacity of 1 million bpd scattered in various places in the country.

Pertamina has no plans to shut down other refineries next year.(*)
