Pertamina to temporarily shutdown Balongan refinery in June

Thursday, November 29 2001 - 04:24 AM WIB

A source at the state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina told Petromindo.com Thursday that the company would temporarily shutdown its Balongan refinery either in June or July next year for routine maintenance.

The source declined to provide details.

The Balongan refinery in West Java has a capacity of 125,000 bpd. When the government shutdown this facility for repair work last year, it caused a fuel at home shortage forcing the government to increase imports.(Godang)
