Pertamina to up fuel imports in June

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina will import more gasoline in June to boost its reserves, increasing its overall petroleum products imports compared with May, Dow Jones Newswires reported on Tuesday.
"Our (petroleum product) imports will likely be between 7.4 million and 7.9 million barrels in June," Achmad Faisal of Pertamina told reporters. "There will be a slight increase (from May), as we will boost gasoline reserves."
The company imported 7.4 million barrels of petroleum products in May.
Faisal said Pertamina will boost its gasoline reserves to a level sufficient to cover 20 days of consumption compared with 16 days currently. (*)
