Despite the current bad weather condition, exploration activities by PT Pertamina EP (PEP) and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), subsidiaries of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, remain running normally.
?Thank God, to date all run normally at PEP, no significant (disturbance),? said Operational Director of PEP Beni Djafillius Ibradi AD to Petromindo.com on Thursday.
He, however, said that at Pendopo, South Sumatra, a working area of PEP, rig moving and hoisting for drilling and well maintenance was slightly hampered by the heavy rainfall, causing the road to be slippery. Beni describe it as a ?normal? obstacle during the rainy season.
He added that in the first quarter of this year, PEP is plans to carry out drill programs at two locations including in Papua and West Java.
Separately, PHE President Director Tenny Wibowo told Petromindo.com that so far there has been no report of significant disturbance to the company?s operations despite the current bad weather condition. ?Operations remain secured at PHE areas,? he said.
