Pertamina upbeat it will meet production target

State owned oil and gas company Pertamina is on the right tract to meet production target of about 141,000 barrels of crude oil per day and about 1 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day in the fourth quarter of this year.

Hari Kustoro, Pertamina's director for upstream operation, said in Jakarta on Monday that the state owned oil and gas company's total crude oil production had reached about 135,000 bpd in the third quarter.

With additional production of about 10,000 bpd from several fields including the Tiaka field, Southeast Sulawesi and the Udang offshore field in Natuna island, the production target could be achieved in the fourth quarter of this year, Hari said.

Hari was also upbeat the company's target to produce gas of about 1 billion cubic feet per day could be met with the continued increase in the company's gas production. At present, the gas production has reached about 900 million cubic feet per day. (godang)
