State owned company PT Pertamina Hulu Energi and its contractor for Cirte and Sabre oil and gas fields in Libya, PT Wijaya Karya, have worked with the Indonesian embassy to evacuate 204 workers from the troubled Middle East country.
The move comes on the heels of escalating riots in Libya.
"We have prepared a private jet to evacuate three PHE employees and 201 WK employees from Libya," PHE public relations manager Ali Mundakir told Petromindo.com over the phone.
He said however the jet had not been unable to enter Libya due to security concerns. "The aircraft stands by in Greece but cannot enter Libya yet," he said. (godang)
