Pertamina will possibly use services of Bahana Securities

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina will probably work with PT Bahana Securities for the restructuring of its subsidiary given Bahana’s strong commitment, the Bisnis Indonesia newspaper reported in its Tuesday edition.

“We will not hesitate to include Bahana in our list of qualified investment banks,” Pertamina’s director of finance Alfred H. Rohimone during a meeting with the management of Bahana Securities and the Bisnis Indonesia on Monday.

Alfred was clarifying his previous statement, which was published in the Bisnis Indonesia on June 30 and lead to misunderstanding between Pertamina and Bahana.

He is sure that Bahana has high commitment and respect to the profession of securities.

“Therefore, the statement which said Bahana fine-tuned the Pertamina Tongkang (of financial statement) was not true and did not make sense,” Alfred said.

Meanwhile, Bahana president director Ito Warsito also emphasized that his company never made changes in the financial statement of PT Pertamina Tongkang.

“Pertamina Tongkang’s financial statement was audited by the public accounting company Ernst &Young.” Ito said at the same meeting,

Pertamina Tongkang is a subsidiary of Pertamina. (*)
