Pertamina will soon launch new type of diesel oil

State owned oil and gas company Pertamina will soon introduce a new type of diesel oil for both private and public vehicles in the domestic fuel market next month, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Friday.

Arman Siswandi, an export staff of Pertamina's product development, said in Jakarta on Thursday that the new diesel oil which was now under a comprehensive test would be marketed under Pertamina DEX brand.

He said that the new diesel oil product would be more environmentally-friendly than the existing diesel oil due its higher cetane content. "Pertamina DEX will be produced according to the standards set by World Wide Fuel Charter (WWFC)," he said. (*)
