Pertamina wins HSD supply tender to Newmont

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina has won a tender to supply 466,000 kilolitres of high speed diesel (HSD) to copper and gold miner PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (NNT), a Pertamina official said Monday.
Pertamina will supply the HSD to NNT over a three-year period starting January next year, Deputy Marketing Director Hanung Budya told reporters. He said the contract may be extended until 2014.
He said PT Shell Indonesia, IDX-listed firm AKR Corp. were among the companies that bid for the tender.
US mining giant Newmont Mining Corporation through a subsidiary, currently holds a 35.44% interest in PTNNT, which owns the Batu Hijau copper and gold mine on the island of Sumbawa in West Nusa Tenggara. (godang)
