Pertamina wins PLN lubricant tender

PT Pertamina (Persero) has secured a contract worth Rp 176 billion (1US$ = Rp 8,935) from state electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to provide the latter with 9,338 kiloliters of lubricant oil a year.
Pertamina said that it outbid Total and Shell in the lubricant oil tender. ?Pertamina has been selected because it provides high quality lubricant oil at competitive price,? it said
In previous years, Pertamina was directly appointed by PLN to provide lubricant oil for the company?s power plants. Beginning this year, PLN opened a competitive bidding to get lubricant oil supply.
Under the new contract, Pertamina will provide high quality lubricant oil for PLN?s large high-speed power plant engines such as Meditran S30, Meditran S40 and Meditran SX CH-4. (godang)
