Petcon Borneo to drill Nangka-1 well

Oil and gas company Petcon Borneo Limited has planned to drill Nangka-1 well in Palangkaraya block in Central Kalimantan in end-November of early December this year, upstream authority SKK Migas said in a statement on Tuesday.

The drilling may take between three and six months, SKK Migas.

In end-October, the firm and SKK Migas held a gathering with the local community in Lahei village, Kapuas regency to explain about the drilling plan.

During the gathering, the firm promised to involve the local people as workforce in the drilling.

Petcon has 51 percen stake in the block and act as operator. The balance is held by American firm ConocoPhilips.
