Petredec buys LPG from Bontang LNG

Bermuda-based LPG trader Petredec Limited has bought 75,000 metric tons (MT) of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the Bontang LNG plant for destination to South Korea market.

Agus Haryanto, the president director said Thursday that the Bontang LNG plant had shipped a cargo of LPG to South Korea on Aug. 11 early this week.

He said that the Bontang plant had shipped a total of 75,000 MT of LPG comprising of 38,000 MT of propane and 37,000 MT of butane.

Agus, however, refused to unveil the value of the LPG sale and did not mention whether the transaction is under terms of contract or spot.

Badak NGL, popularly known as Bontang LNG restarted LPG production on June 15 after years-long suspension due to lack of gas feed. (bernard)
