Petro Muba and Ephindo cooperate in methane gas production

PT Petro Muba, a company owned by South Sumatra's Musi Banyuasin regency administration, has agreed to cooperate with PT Ephindo in the exploration of methane gas or Coal Bed Methane (CBM) in the regency, Sriwijaya Pos reported on Monday.

The agreement was signed in Jakarta on Friday by the president director of Petro Muba Robert Heri and the president director of PT Ephindo Sammy Hamzah with the presence of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro.

The cooperation agreement also includes the marketing of the gas methane both at home and overseas. At the same time, Ephindo also signed an agreement with oil and gas research and development institute Lemigas. (*)
