PetroChina makes oil, gas find in Sumatra

Chinese oil giant Petro China has made oil, gas find in its recent exploration drilling operations at Jabung block onshore Southern Sumatra, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said.
Drill stem test result at Marmo-3 exploration well flowed 441 BPD of crude, 216 BPD of oil and 8.4 MMCFD of gas at 36/64? choke, Sulistya Hastuti, BPMIGAS Spokesperson told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday.
Sulistya said the result came from the first layer tested and more tests on other layers would be conducted.(godang)
