PetroChina resumes trial production at Lengowangi-1 well

PetroChina will continue with its trial production at its Lengowangi-1 well in Balowangi village, Gresik, East Java although the first test carried out on the well failed to find crude oil, Investor Daily reported Thursday.
"We are going to carry out another trial production today (Thursday) at the depth of 4,500 feet. We hope the test will find significant crude oil," field manager of joint operation body (JOB) Pertamina-PetroChina East Java, Victory Surya Kirana said on Wednesday.
The well is part of Tuban block.
The first test was carried out at the depth of 5,400 feet at the well but it failed to find oil, he added. (*)
