PetroChina stops gas blowout at Jabung block

PetroChina, the operator of the Jabung PSC onshore Jambi Province, said Wednesday it had successfully stopped the gas blowout at the block?s Gemah-21 well.

?No injury or equipment damage caused by the incident,? vice president Budi Setiadi told Petromindo.Com.

The blowout incident took place last Friday.

PetroChina and Malaysian oil company Petronas each has 42.5 percent working interest in the block, with state oil and gas company PT Pertamina has the remaining 15 percent. (godang)
