Petrochina, Talisman partially share facility

Upstream authority BPMIGAS said that Talisman Energy has already sent condensate to processing facilities owned by Petrochina in Betara Complex, in Jabung PSC, onshore Jambi. This indicates that Petrochina and Talisman Energy have started partially sharing production facilities.
?In fact, Talisman has sent condensate to the Petrochina?s facilities since July last year,? spokesperson of BPMIGAS I Gde Pradnyana told Petromindo.com.
He said Talisman sent about 6,000 bopd to the Petrochina facilities, which is still lower than initial plan of 12,000 bpd.
The next phase, he said, they would be jointly using liquefied petroleum (LPG) processing facility, which is being developed by Petrochina. Petrochina is currently in process of conducting front-end engineering design (FEED)of the LPG facility.
The Betara complex facility is constructed to support the development of West Betara and South Betara fields in Jabung PSC onshore Jambi, operated by PetroChina.
Betara complex comprises of Betara Gas Plant (BGP), North Geragai Facilities (NGF) and fixed process unit (FPU). The facilities will produce LNG, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), crude oil, gas butane and propane.
The complex is being constructed by PT Singgar Mulia.
BPMIGAS said earlier that Talisman needs processing facility. If the company constructed its own gas facility, it may take two years to complete.
If the development of the Betara field is delayed, Talisman may use the Betara gas complex. In return, PetroChina may use equipments of Talisman in developing its West Betara and South Betara fields.
