PetroChina to increase Indonesian oil production by 37% this year

Chinese oil and gas firm PetroChina plans to boost its Indonesian oil production by 37.4 percent from 54,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) last year to around 74,200 boepd this year.
Company Indonesian vice president of administration Budi Setiadi said Wednesday PetroChina had targeted to produce around 38,300 boepd, 13,500 boepd, 11,700 boepd, 9,400 boepd, 1,300 boepd from Jabung, Tuban, Salawati Island, Salawati Basin, and Bangko blocks, respectively.
Jabung and Bangko blocks are located in South Sumatra, Tuban in East Java, while both Salawati blocks are located in Papua. PetroChina operates these blocks. (godang)
