Petronas Carigali RIMS plans to drill at least one well in Karapan PSC in 2003

Petronas Carigali RIMS JOC Limited, the operator of Karapan PSC exploration block offshore East Java said Friday it would drill one exploration well in the block this year and two more are contingent pending 3D seismic interpretation.
?The exploration well may be drilled in July,? said exploration manager Gajah Eko Pireno.
According to HIS Energy report, out of three exploration w ells the company drilled last year, it had discovered oil and gas in two wells.
Petronas carigali RIMS JOC Ltd is 50-50 joint venture between Malaysia state oil company Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd and RIMS Energy Karapan Ltd, a local exploration company. (alex)
