Petronas introduces new country chairman for Indonesia

Malaysia?s Petronas said it has appointed Mohammad Zaini MD as the new Country Chairman of Petronas Indonesia.

Petronas said in a statement on Monday that Zaini was previously General Manajer, International Resource Management, Protoleum Engineering Division at Petronas in Kuala Lumpur. He had also worked in various countries such as Turkmenistan and Sudan.

During his first gathering on Monday with local journalists, Zaini said that a MoU signed by the company and state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina in July of this year showed Petronas? commitment in Indonesia.

?As operator of two production fields including Bukit Tua and Kopandang, we?re very happy with what we have achieved, and hope that we could continue achieve production target as set by the government of Indonesia,? he told reporters.
