Petronas opens another new gas station

Malaysia?s oil and gas company Petronas has opened another gas station in Pekayon area of Bekasi, West Java. With this, Petronas has now three gas stations in Indonesia.

?The gas station has been operating since November 27, 2006. Petronas has no plan yet to open another gas station until end of this year. But we have a target of opening 200 gas stations until 2010-2011,? Petronas Niaga Indonesia?s media relations officer Bayu Anggraini told the Investor Daily on Sunday in Jakarta.

The 200 gas stations will be opened at various locations in Jakarta and the surrounding cities of Depok, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek); as well as several areas in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and eastern part of Indonesia, Bayu said.

?At present, we are concentrating in Jadebotabek area,? Bayu added.

Previously, Petronas had opened gas stations at Cibubur, East Jakarta in March 2006 and another one in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta. (*)
