Petronas reevaluates West Glagah Kambuna block

Petronas Carigali (West Glagah Kambuna) Ltd, a unit of Malaysian oil, gas firm Petronas Carigali Bhd has found indication of gas at the Tanjung Perling-1 well in the West Glagah Kambuna block offshore North Sumatra, but considered it to be non-commercial. The company is currently making reevaluation of the entire block.
?There?s indication of gas at Glagah Kambuna (Tanjung Perling-1), but it?s non-commercial. Petronas will evaluate the entire block,? Head of Exploration Division at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Nugrahani told Petromindo.com Thursday. Nugrahani did not provide further details.
The block is managed by consortium of Petronas Carigali (West Glagah Kambuna) Ltd and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Glagah Kambuna. The block was awarded in November 2009.
West Glagah Kambuna block is located at the North Sumatra offshore, which is around 40 miles from Belawan.
