Petronas Carigali Indonesia, a unit of Malaysia?s oil and gas firm Petronas, is expected to drill the Bukit Tua South-2 well in the Ketapang block in East Java in the middle of October of this year.

Petronas, which holds an 80 percent interest in the block as the operator, is currently waiting for the necessary rig, which is still being used by PT Total Indonesie to drill the Tongkol-1 well.

?The latest status for the Bukit Tua South-2 well is that there is huge possibility to be drilled in the middle of October, waiting for the Topaz rig which is currently still being operated at the Tongkol-1 well by Total Indonesie,? Head of Survey and Drilling Division at upstream authority SKK Migas, Arief Fanshuri told Petromindo.com Monday.
