Malaysian firm Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. plans to sell its entire 50 percent interest in West Glagah Kambuna PSC offshore North Sumatra, according to an industrial source.

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), which is Petronas? equal partner in the block, is interested to acquire the interest, according to the source.

The main reason behind the planned farmout is that the Malaysian firm plans to concentrate in other blocks in Indonesia, he said.

This report reported in June 2013 that the firm found indication of gas at the block but it was considered non-commercial.
