Petronas to open three more new gas stations

PT Petronas Niaga Indonesia, an Indonesian unit of Malaysian state owned oil and gas company Petronas Bhd, will open three more gas stations in Greater Jakarta

?They will start to operate in January, February and March respectively,? Head of Business Development Department Wisnu Widijoko told reporters on Tuesday, adding the gas stations will be located in Jababeka industrial estate in Bekasi, Bintaro Sektor IX in Tangerang and Kalimalang in East Jakarta.

He claimed the construction of the new facilities had followed the medical, safety and environmental standards.

The company will hire local companies to store its fuel, including with PT Bumi Merak Terminal which has a storage in West Java with a capacity of 8,000 kiloliters, PT Handa Terminal which has a storage in North Sumatra in Belawan with a capacity of 8,300 KL.

Petronas has opened several gas stations located respectively in Cibubur, East Jakarta; in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta; Pekayon area of Bekasi, West Java and one gas station in Medan. (godang)
