Petronas to start exploration program at Madura Offshore block

Petronas Carigali, the operator of North East Madura Offshore IV block, is scheduled to commence its exploration program at the end of this month with an acquisition of 3D marine seismic data, according to company?s bidding announcement released Tuesday.

North East Madura Offshore IV Block was awarded to Petronas last December.

Petronas is obligated to acquire, process and interpret 3D seismic data over 500-square-kilometers offshore areas, drill four exploration wells and undertake geological and geophysical studies in the block during the exploration phase. (Robert)
