Petronas to start N. Sumatra exploration drilling in August

Malaysian firm Petronas will start drilling one exploration well in West Glagah Kambuna block offshore North Sumatra in August this year, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said.

Representative for northern Sumatra area Baris Sitorus was quoted by BPMIGAS website as saying that the company has completed seismic acquisition in the block in 2010.

Petronas is the block?s operator with 60 percent interest with the balance held by Pertamina. (romel)
